Do you remember when you got your first Bible?  How old were you?  Could you read it or did someone else read it to you?  What was your reaction to when you saw your name either on the inside page or stamped on the outside cover? I remember when I got my first Bible.  It was christmas time.  My first Bible was wrapped and underneath the christmas tree along with all the toys and clothes.  To unwrap this gift and see that black, zippered Bible with all the pictures of Moses, Noah and the ark, Daniel and yes there was Jesus with the children brought excitement to a little boys face.  Now I had a Bible for my very own.  I carried it proudly to Sunday School and to Church.  I read along with my teachers and read it when I was alone.  Since then I have been blessed to have many more Bibles. Some have been given to me while I have purchased some on my own.  Isn’t it wonderful to have a store close by where you can go when you want to and purchase another one for yourself or someone else?

Would you consider that approximately one-half of the world has never seen a Bible, read a Bible or much less have their first Bible.  First Bible International is all about getting the Bible in whole or in part translated and printed for those people.  It must be that they might be saved. It must be that nationals can be trained.  It must be that churches can be planted among those people groups.  Yet it must be for the glory of God.  Christ said, “And the gospel must first be published among all nations”.  How many whole Bibles do you have?  How many whole New Testaments?  How many John and Romans?  Will you pray about helping FirstBible give those who do not have anything at least one?
