Our Heart's Desire

When you read in the New Testament about the prayer life of the Apostle Paul, you immediately find that which is of utmost importance to him.  If someone heard us pray and penned the words for others, what would they say is the one thing of most importance for which we petition God. Paul truly had a heart was for others.  His prayer found in Romans sums up his passion.

Romans 10:1 Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.

If this were your prayer what would you fill in the blank? “Brethren, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for ________ is, that they might be saved”. Could you fill in the blank with a persons name?  What about a whole nation?  What about some people group somewhere that has no Gospel witness or even a Bible?

You may ask the question, “I don’t know for whom to pray?”.  I don’t believe you could pray for the wrong person, the wrong nation or the wrong people group.  Everywhere there is someone God loves and wants to know about His Son, Jesus Christ.  Why not just begin praying for the whole world, country by country, and let God place a people on your heart that is on His heart.

We at FirstBible International can help you identify people who need the Gospel in their mother tongue and who need missionaries to tell them about Jesus’ love for them.
