Listed below are the many Bible translation and printing projects that are either in process or are awaiting the necessary funds to begin.
According to recent statistical data there are approximately 6000 unreached and unengaged people groups in the world. This means that they either have only a small portion of scripture in their mother tongue or no scripture at all.
Also, there are approximately 12,000 independent baptist churches in the USA. If two churches would agree to work together to support one project until completion the work could conceivably be accomplished in approximately 50 years or less. I would not be here to see this completed but I believe that most could be completed in the next 25 – 30 years of my life.
Will you help me and FirstBible International help you and your church preach the gospel to every creature? This task is bigger than me. It is bigger than my home church. It is bigger than all the churches in my state of Georgia. We must all, the Southeast, the Northeast, the Mid-Atlantic, the North, the Midwest, the Southwest, the West, the Northwest and all around the world included, get involved for the glory of God.
Here is the list of projects scheduled to be completed in 2011/2012 and the amounts still needed to complete them:
- Rito NT (Africa) 5000 copies – $40,000
- Daba NT (Africa) 5000 copies – $40,000
- Hakha Chin NT – (Myanmar) 3500 copies – $40,000
- URDU NT (Pakistan) 5000 copies – $50,000
- Boro NT (India) 5000 copies – $30,000
- Thadou Kuki BIBLE (India) 5000 copies – $50,000
- Falam Chin Gospel of John (Myanmar) 50,000 copies – $6,000
- Falam Chin Romans (Myanmar) 50,000 copies – $6,000
TOTAL – $262,000
As of October 5, 2010 these are still in need of completion.
We also are in need of funding for the new Bible Translation and Training Center at the South India Baptist Bible College and Seminary in Coimbatore, India.
This need is for the furnishing of computer equipment, desks, chairs, and much more. There will be additional expense once the decision is made to purchase printing and finishing equipment to print the Bibles and other scripture related items into the new languages.
I do not have an estimate of the need funds but rest assured that the need is great.
All gifts for any of these projects can be made out to FirstBible International and mailed to the following address:
