In the Mark 8:22-25 we find the story of the man who was blind and was touched by the Lord. The Lord then asked him if he saw anything and he replied, ” I see men as trees, walking”. The Lord then touched him again and then the man “saw every man clearly”.
At the beginning this man had “Closed Sight” for he could not see and speaks of the sinner who is lost. Then the Lord touched him and now he has “Clouded Sight” for he could only see men as they were, only slightly and speaks of the Christian who only sees men nominally. Finally, the Lord touched this man again and his sight was restored completely to “Clear Sight”. He now sees men as God sees men, clearly.
Many pastors and christians are like this man who was touched by the Lord in salvation yet are still in need of a second touch from the Lord that they may see men as clearly as God does.
Has God touched you lately, again?
“The average pastor views his church as a local church with a missions program; while he ought to realize that if he is in fact pastoring a church, it is to be a global church with a missions purpose.”
