Linda and I were privileged to be at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia for their Mid-Year Missions Conference.  This years theme is “Mission Earth 2010″.  Pastor Marty Wynn and his church have such a great heart for missions around the world.  It was exciting to preach each service and to see the response to the Word of God.

We also were able to present the work of FirstBible International with the church each night.  Linda and I enlisted the aid of all of the youth who were there to take a coin folder to fill with quarters.  Each folder holds $5 that will be sent to FirstBible for our “Bibles4Muslims” program.  Pastor Wynn announced during the meeting that this years VBS penny offering will go toward “Bibles4Muslims“.  What a great way to get young people involved in giving to missions.  One young teen told his mom after one of the services that he felt God wanted him to be a missionary.  Please pray that this young man will do what God wants for him.

We enjoyed great fellowship and great liberty in preaching. Please pray for Pastor Wynn and this church as they seek the Lord’s direction in partnering with FirstBible in one of the translation and printing projects.

They not only give to missions but they are also sending missionaries from their church like Andria Gardner with her husband Chris in Peru and Stephen Wynn to Brazil.
