Missions Conference in Dalton, GA

Missions Conference in Dalton, GA

Linda and I were greatly blessed to be part of the 2010 Missions Conference at Whitfield Baptist Church on Monday and Tuesday, October 18th, 19th.  The Lord was exalted in each service by the singing and preaching.

Dr. Dean Hamby of Macedonia World Baptist Missions did the preaching each night from Genesis 22.  God greatly used the preaching of His Word to stir our hearts for World Evangelism and the matter of our faith.

Thank you Pastor Cofield for the opportunity to share our burden of getting the Bible to the unreached and unengaged people of the 10/40 Window through the ministry of FirstBible International.

Sharing the Burden of FirstBible International

Our desire and prayer is for God to raise up churches and individuals who will partner with us to see the Bible translated into the “Mother tongue” of the 6000 unreached people groups in the world.  India alone has over 2000 unreached people groups.  Getting the Word of God in their own language is paramount to then training nationals and planting churches.  Church planting is the ultimate goal of FirstBible.

It All Begins With One

Saturday I had a great time at the Whitfield Baptist Church in Dalton, GA.  I have had the privilege to work with their choir and Bro. Randy Teems their Music Director on several occasions in the past.  This was one such occasion that went extremely well.  Their choir is very receptive to learning good music and really enjoy singing.

That was only part of a great day.  I was able to eat lunch with Pastor Wayne Cofield, Missionary Kevin Hall, and others from the church.  This was a meeting to help them learn more about what FirstBible International is all about.  Pastor Cofield got excited about how they could partner with FirstBible in providing Bibles to the unreached and unengaged people groups of the 10/40 window.

I look forward to presenting the ministry of FirstBible International soon to the great folks at Whitfield Baptist Church.  Let one pastor say I’ll get involved in making a difference then it is easy for a church to become involved.  I wonder if you would be willing to become one in leading others to get involved in giving someone their First Bible.
