Headed to Gateway Baptist Church

This coming Sunday I will preach here at University Baptist Church in Atlanta then leave immediately following the morning service to travel 6 hours to Florala, Alabama.  I will begin a Missions Conference there at the Gateway Baptist Church at 6:00 pm.  The pastor is my good friend, Bro. James Hansard.  Bro. Hansard is a church planting missionary with Macedonia World Baptist Missions.  Our church is privileged to support Bro. Hansard and his wife Cathy.  They are true servants of the Lord and He is using them in Florala.

I ask that you pray for safety as I travel and that the meeting will bring glory to the Lord.  During the conference I will be presenting the ministry of FirstBible International and trusting the Lord to use us.

I will send a report as the meeting progresses this next week.

International Worship Service

Ps 22:27 “All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee”.

Just imagine being in the largest international worship service and it is in Heaven.  Have you ever considered what that will be like?  Here at University Baptist Church we have the privilege of having many different nationalities present for most services.  Yesterday there were some from Ghana West Africa, Guatamala, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Haiti not to mention America.  To see them lift up their voices in singing unto the Lamb in worship and then for them to bow their heads in prayer is a thrilling sight to behold.

One day in heaven around the throne of God people from all nations, kindreds, tribes and tongue will bow in worship of the Lord and say, “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain”.  How great to have them there because you and I helped them to get there by giving, going, or praying for World Evangelism.  FirstBible International is all about getting the Word of God to those who have never heard.

Bible Conference News

We closed out our Bible Conference with Dr. Lonnie Moore last night and had our largest attendance of the week.  God moved again in a wonderful way as Dr. Moore preached.  Many responded to the preaching and our church was helped, encouraged and strengthened through the faithful preaching of the Word of God.

This week we have found ourselves as “Bankers” for the Lord and involved in a work that is ‘Just Going Great!”.  In addition to Dr. Moore singing each service, Monday we had the New Life Singers from Calvary Baptist Church in Smyrna and on Tuesday we had the Barnes Family from Bible Baptist Church in Newnan.

I am so proud of the people of University Baptist Church who were so faithful to come each service and the many friends from around Atlanta who came also.  Just as a mother loves to watch her family eat when she has prepared a good meal, it is equally exciting to the Man of God to have people hungering for Bible truth as he preaches what God has prepared in his heart.  Be faithful to support your pastor and local church this weekend.  Your presence will encourage others especially the preacher.
